When TMM was recently approached by John Becker, president of Worldwide Seminarian Support, to redesign his organization's web site - www.seminariansupport.com - I was doubly blessed. First, because of the opportunity to help such a great group put their best foot forward on the Internet. Second, because I happen to be a board member of WSS.
In a nut shell, WSS's purpose is to fund seminarians around the world, especially in Third World Countries. To date, it has helped nearly forty men become priests by raising and donating almost $1 million in financial support.
The response to the newly designed web site has been tremendous. John Becker wrote in an e-mail, "Thank you for providing us with an awesome web site. Your team are such professionals." He went on to add, "This is exactly what WSS needs to reach the next level to raise more funds for our seminarians. Your company Third Millennium Media is such a blessing."
Wow, thanks, John. Not only are you a good friend and a brother in Christ, but I may hire you to promote our work.
If you or any organization you know needs a great web site designed, just give us a call!

TMM's whirlwind fall tour of Catholic radio stations is well underway. In fact, on Friday, October 9, I wrapped up my fifth consecutive week hosting a pledge drive. What a run it's been for Catholic radio listeners! Here's what's happened over the past five weeks:
- Sacred Heart Radio listeners in Seattle and Spokane once again provided tremendous support for their stations during their fall Share-a-Thon
- In Fargo and Grand Forks, North Dakota, Real Presence Radio listeners established a new record for amount of money pledged during their fall Live Drive
- There was another outpouring of generosity across the Immaculate Heart Radio Network, as listeners helped IHR reach their pledge drive goal
- Listeners in the Texas Panhandle responded with great enthusiasm during St. Valentine Radio's fall pledge drive
- Catholic Broadcasting Northwest (KBVM) in Portland ended its Share-a-Thon early after reaching its goal and setting a new record for amount of money pledged
All of this highlights the fact that people everywhere are committed to sustaining their Catholic radio stations.
It's been a blessing being part of all these terrific fund raisers this fall. And there are more to come. I am still looking forward to my visits to Redeemer Radio in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Holy Family Communications in Buffalo and Rochester, New York, Divine Mercy Radio in Melbourne, Florida, Salt and Light Radio in Boise, Idaho, and a return to Immaculate Heart Radio. |
